Privacy policy.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This policy explains how personal data is handled on getopco.co.uk, the marketing website for OpCo — an operations pack for UK trade firms. We keep it short because this site collects very little.
Who we are
The data controller for this website is OpCo, operated by the founder. OpCo is an independent product. It runs on Grok Bot, which is a third-party platform not operated by us.
Contact for this site (including privacy questions): [email protected]. This is a temporary contact address until a dedicated OpCo inbox is set up; we’ll update this page when it changes.
What this site is for
The site tells UK trade firms what OpCo does, what it costs and how to get it. It is a marketing site only.
What we collect
- No sign-up forms, no accounts, no newsletter. You can’t create an account or submit a form on this site.
- No analytics or advertising cookies. We don’t use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar tracking. See our cookie notice.
- If you email us. If you email the contact address, we’ll receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that only to reply and deal with your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering people who contact us), or steps towards a contract if you’re asking about using OpCo.
- Hosting and fonts. Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages (our hosting provider) and the font service (Google Fonts) receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type so the page can load. We don’t use this to identify you.
When you click “Add OpCo”
The “Add OpCo” buttons take you to Grok Bot, a third-party platform. Anything you do there — signing in, adding OpCo, setting it up — is handled under Grok Bot’s own terms and privacy policy, not this one. Please read theirs before you sign up.
How long we keep it
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and normally no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless we need to keep it longer for a legal reason.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We only share it with the services we use to run this site and our email (for example our hosting and email providers), or where the law requires it. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use it.
- Objection — object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Portability — ask for your data in a format you can take elsewhere, where that applies.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We’ll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we add analytics, forms or anything else that collects data, we’ll update this policy (and the cookie notice) before it goes live on the site, and change the date at the top.
